Certification courses from the Better Process Control School will take place March 8-11 during Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) Week at Michigan State University (MSU).
The courses will be offered at the Crop and Soil Sciences Teaching and Research (Agronomy) Farm. The Better Process Control School offers food-processing supervisors instruction and testing for certification in retort operations, process systems operations, aseptic processing and packaging systems operations, and container closure inspections.
A U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulation states that all container closure inspectors and operators of retorts, processing systems, and aseptic processing and packaging systems need to be under the supervision of an individual who has received certification from an approved school.
